Freedive Workshop & Mental Health Awareness Fundraiser - Sea to Sky Freediving Co. & Diving Sports

Join Luca Malaguti, professional freediver and Canada Record Holder for an evening of freediving & spearfishing.

Freediving and spearfishing are sports that can truly help to overcome fears, anxiety and even depression. Luca, a professional freediver and spearfisher, will talk about some techniques they he's used in competiton to help with this. He has been working closely alongside the mental health organization Movember to raise awareness of this important topic. 

Luca will discuss some simple tips and tricks freedivers use to prepare for deep dives. We will also chat about better equalisation, competition preparation, spearfishing, mental training and deep diving. 

The evening will also include a movie presentation, screening Luca's recent short film about a diver's journey to face his trauma by breath-hold diving under icebergs. This project, alongside Movember helped to to raise awareness for men's mental health.
