**Event update and changes**
Join Luca Malaguti and Will Gadd for a live-podcast interview in Squamish. Will is one of the top Red Bull and Arc'Teryx athletes, and will chat with Luca about mental training, sports psychology and the role or breathwork.Â
This event is open to everyone, including non-divers, that are interested in the mental training techniques professional freedivers and ice climbers use. Extreme athletes use strategic breathwork exercises, visualization and medidation to control the heart rate, blood pressure, nervous system and emotions (fear, anxiety, stress) before deep dives.
Through the education and a deep understanding of sports psychology and neuroscience, professional freedivers learn to control their nervous system and emotions before deep dives. This is imensely valuable for everyone in every day life: to deal with difficult moments, relationships, at work and in the home. Learning more about your Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and how you can control both the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) and Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) allows you to make better judgements and decisions during stressful and difficult times.
A Fundraiser for The Power of PlayÂ
All proceeds for this event will go to The Power of Play, a local charity that builds playgrounds for children in war affected areas.Â
The idea? We get to play outdoors as adults, so should children.Â

He regularly teaches these tools, not just to divers, but to all professionals that deal with high stress, anxiety and fear in their lives and workplace.
Aside from coaching many athletes to various records, Luca has taught medical professionals, cancer patients, fire-fighters, police officers, army veterans, professional climbers/alpinists and many more.
