Itinerary & Schedule:

Day 0 - May 7, 2022 - Meet one night before in Marsa Alam, Red Sea, Egypt (dinner and pre-meeting) 

Day 1 - May 8, 2022 at 9AM: Pick up in Marsa Alam, Sailing Out and day of freediving 

Day 2 - May 9, 2022: Freediving with dolphins and photography 

Day 3 - May 10, 2022: Snorkelling, freediving lessons and meditation (and yes, more dolphins!) 

Day 4 - May 11, 2022 drop-off at 2:30PM: Dolphins, more dolphins and dugongs & Head back to Marsa Alam Port 

Cost of the Dahab Training Camp 2022:

With a 4-day/3-night stay in a private room with bathroom (single person): 955 $CAD + taxes

Note: This is a "per person" charge, not a "per cabin" charge

Requirements for Entry to Egypt: 

- Abide by Government of Egypt entry requirements (Canadians have no problem visiting with a Visa on arrival)

- More info regarding obtaining Visa for Egypt as a Canadian 

- Be fully vaccinated and arrive with proof of vaccination (will be easier for entry) 

- Follow your airlines travel protocols when departing Canada

- Arrive with a valid Negative PCR Test (it's the new travel norm so be it!)

Best way to get to Marsa Alam from Canada:

- From Vancouver/Calgary: Through London Gatwick, UK and Cairo, Egypt direct

- Direct flights with Air Canada or West Jet (starting at 600 $CAD if booked in advance)

- Cairo to Marsa Alam by bus direct or short domestic flight to Hurghada (then bus/taxi to Marsa Alam) 

What to bring for freediving and how to prepare yourself for this expedtion:

1. Freediving wetsuit (2-piece wetsuit 3mm thick is recommended)

2. Mask, snorkel and fins

3. Weight-belt and weights (can be provided as well)

4. Neckweight (personal preference of course) 

5. Light and breathable clothes (a warm sweater is also advisable) 

6. Light shoes, sandals, plenty of shorts and t-shirts

7. Sun protection 

Conditions in Marsa Alam in May:

> In May, the days are sunny and warm, but nights can be cool and dry

> There's plenty of wind in Marsa Alam, so a sweater or windbreaker is advisable 

> Air temperature ranges from high of 30 to low of 35 Degrees Celsius

> Water temperature can vary from 23 to 28 Degrees Celsius
